Wine Pairings Perfect for Holiday Hosting
We believe that the few weeks between Thanksgiving to New Years are best enjoyed in a good home with good food, good company, and of course, good wine!
As both a lovely indulgence and educational experience, there is so much to learn, enjoy, and appreciate about this spirit. It is so inspiring to learn how much love, attention, and care goes into a bottle of wine, and how creative the entire process is. Much like a beautiful home, it takes intention and attention to create an end-result that can be enjoyed between friends and family for many years to come.
And over the years we've completed a handful of custom wine rooms that inspire us even more to dive into the art of wine. Even just hearing our clients talk about how much they enjoy wine with friends, and how they want to incorporate that experience into the fabric of their home is a really special thing.
So, whether you're hosting, traveling, gathering, or attending this holiday season, we wanted to share a bit of inspiration behind the experience of wine, including:
Food and wine pairings you'll love for holiday hosting

Featured here is a custom outdoor fireplace from our Taylor Point project. We may be biased, but we think this is one of the best places to enjoy an evening glass of Sauvignon Blanc🥂
Food & wine pairings you'll love for holiday hosting: recommendations from local foodie + certified wine blogger.
Last year, we chatted with Catheryn Grivna, a local wine and travel blogger with a Level 2 WSET wine certification. Having visited over 150+ wineries from Temecula to Tuscany, we asked what she recommends when it comes to food, wine, and how to create perfect pairings for holiday hosting.
🥂For a more casual and fun gathering with light appetizers, pair champagne or sparkling wine with potato chips, popcorn, and creamy cheese, like brie. Charcuterie boards are also best paired with a bottle of bubbles!
🍷When it comes to dinner, pair a heartier Cabernet Sauvignon with filet mignon, or a heartier pasta dish like bolognese sauce.
🍷A lighter red wine, like a Pinot Noir, will have more versatility when it comes to pairs, including chicken, pork, or salmon. Pinot Noir is also great to pair with a cheese-heavy charcuterie board.
Inside one of our most dramatic wine cellar transformations to inspire your next wine night.
When it came to working with our entertaining, wine-loving clients from our Grand Regency renovation, our mission was clear for the first floor lounge: create a swanky space where good wine and good conversation can be enjoy for years to come, whether it be for happy hours to nightcaps.
We'll be sharing the full transformation of this wine cellar exclusively for email subscribers — be sure to sign up here to join our list and be one of the first to see! (Truly one of our favorites!)
But for now, here's a little sneak peek of what this cocktail bar + champagne fridge looked like before the renovation... so be sure to join for more!😉🍷
As one of the first spaces you walk into as you enter the front door, we wanted to open up the space and warm it up with luxurious textiles and showstopping chandeliers. We turned what was once a dividing picture wall into a swanky home bar, completely outfitted with completely custom metalwork, furnishings, and textiles ... And of course, designated champagne and white wine chilling fridges on either side of the bar. You can see here how we transformed this unused corner into a completely functional (and FUN) statement space.
The grazing board of our dreams and more Instagram inspiration from the Charcuterie Queen (and our Design Assistant!), Jacey Smith.
When she's not designing beautiful homes, you may find our sweet Design Assistant, Jacey, designing stunning charcuterie boards! Truly, her works are a piece of art, and we've been lucky enough to enjoy one or two with her on her team. She runs her own charcuterie Instagram account @OnBoardWithJacey, which you can follow here to get inspired for your own charcuterie + wine pairing this holiday season!🥂
We believe in the holidays should be enjoyed in a beautiful home, surrounding by good company, enjoying good food, and of course, good wine. We hope you enjoy your holidays, and that this season is full of merriment. Enjoy, and cheers🥂
